Back from Michigan

I went to Michigan this past weekend. I had a blast. There was snow! It was 20 degrees the whole time I was there. I am happy to be back because I missed the springlike weather. So that is why there isn't a new technique for this week. I will be working on it tonight and hopefully have it posted by Sunday or Monday. Since I have posted two scrapbooking layouts I will try and do a card with a new technique. If there is something you would like to see drop me a comment.

Sell A Bration Simply Scrappin Kit

Here is another layout I did last week. I used the Simply Scrappin kit that was in the Sell A Bration brochure. I really liked the way it turned out. I normally don't cut a curve out of my paper because I am afraid of what it will look like but this worked pretty well. I just cut along the writing and swirls on the paper. I also used a white gel pen to make stems for my flowers...so then I used the white gel pen to make stitching in the corners...trying to pull it all together. The pictures are from Thanksgiving (yes I know the page doesn't really scream Thanksgiving) but I like the look of the pictures..they already had a white border...with these colors. I don't think it matters that much that fall colors aren't used. What do you think?

Scrapbook Pages

So this is a layout I did last week. They were the first pages that I have done in a while. I cased the page on the left from the Friends and Flowers Simply Scrappin Kit and so I made the page on the right to match. I really liked the way these turned out. I love the kits...they make it so easy! I will probably use more kits right now until my scrapbooking abilities improve and then I will move onto more difficult pages.

Greetings to all!!!

So this is the first blog post for the Coastal Croppers. With this blog you will be able to see ideas and projects that I am working on. I will try and update it as often as possible. If there are any ideas or questions you have feel free to post them. I think this will be a great way for us to keep in touch and share ideas with one another. Please bear with me as I am learning how everything works.
